Hrrrrmmm....the kids been bugging me for chocolate cookies and I never seems to get the 'idaman' type... so I tried and I tried.... till the day I get into famous amos kichen and discover their secret recipe till that day come I shall keep on trying

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Ingredients :
8 ozs butter
5 ozs castor sugar
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
a pinch of salt
1 cup Milo
10 ozs self-raising flour
6ozs Hershey's semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg yolk
Method :
1. Beat butter, sugar, salt, vanilla essence, cream of tartar and bicarbonate of soda till creamy.
2. Add in egg yolk and continue beating.
3. Add in Milo and chocolate chips.
4. Finally add in self raising flour.
5. Take a small portion of the dough and arrange on the tray.
Leave some space in between each dough.
6. Bake till golden brown, about 15 minutes.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Ingredients :
125 g shortening
100 g brown sugar
25 g milk powder
1/4 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 egg ~ lightly beaten
200 g flour
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate
200 g chocolate chips
Method :
1. Sift flour, cocoa powder and sodium bicarbonate. Set aside.
2. Cream shortening with sugar and milk powder, manually.
3. Add in egg and vanilla essence.
4. Add in the dry ingredients into the mixture, little at a time.
5. Pour in the chocolate chips and mix well.
6. Using two spoons, scoop a bit of the soft dough onto the baking tray.
7. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 175 celcius for 15 to 20 minutes.
