Sekitar jam 9.35pm uk time,handphone Amy berdering ... masa tu Amy tengah gosok baju. Tengok nama "Abah" and I looked at my Malaysian clock its 3.35am. "Inalillah...." perkataan yang pertama keluar dari mulut Amy...Amy diam sebentar, berfikir... betul ke apa yang Amy dengar ni.Setahu Amy yang sakit suami kak yong atau kak yong yang Abah madsudkan kak yong lain. Amy pun bertanya "Abah, Abah kata Kak Yong ke?? Kak Yong mana bah?" Abah pun pantas menjawap seolah menduga soalan itu yang bakal Amy tanya... "Kak Yong sepupu kamu la... Abah dalam perjalanan ke Melaka ni. Nanti Abah call lagi"
The next day, Amy call balik Abah to get the full story. Just to share with you all ...
Aruah Pak Ngah (my Dad's eldest brother) meninggal when I was still studying in the UK and I can still remember the phonecall. My Dad was there at the hospital when the doctor decide to turn the life support machine off. Aruah Pak Ngah left 6 children, 4 girls and 2 boys. From then on, my Dad was their Dad too. Any major decision, they would always consult my Dad first. Kak Yong was the eldest daughter and had always been good with making cakes and biscuits. Her "kuih koci durian" was one of the favourites. Kak Yong was always willing to share her recipes but my only problem was Kak Yong use "satu genggam" as her measuring skills 
Last Raya was the last time I saw Kak Yong, we went to Kak Yongs house in Melaka. Kak Yongs table was filled with all delicious cuisine.I could hardly stand up after that sebab kenyang sangat. Kak Yong also "tapau" me her famous tart gulung and dodol that her son had made. My husband was busy chatting with Abang Sarip (Kak Yong's husband) who had gone through heart bypass and was talking on how he is trying to take things easy now. I managed to talk about their famous Nasi Briyani Sayur and tips and trick of keeping it nice and even if cooking for weddings (not that I II ever be good at that ) but we had good laugh....
Abah told me that Kak Yong was just cooking for another relatives wedding on Saturday. Abah said Kak Yong looked different and Abah asked her how was she doing? She said she is not feeling very well but more worried about her husbands operation the following week, due to another complications with the heart. Abah said she has to look after herself too, in order to care for her husband. She nod....
On the 5th of May, Kak Yong complain of chest pain to her husband. Kak Yong ask for a drink and forgiveness from hubby and said she is going to sleep...Kak Yong pulang ke rahmatullah early that morning.
